Academy of Bharatanatyam
About Naatya Pushp
For nearly a decade, Naatya Pushp has been sharing Bharatanatyam with students and audiences in Washington, under the guidance of Guru Smt. Olympia Mannur.
Who we are
An academy of Bharatanatyam
Naatya Pushp — a “flower of dance” — is an academy of Bharatanatyam, the classical dance of South India. For nearly ten years it has been promoting the art form in Washington.
Each year our students take the stage at the Naatya Pushp Annual Recital, held every year since 2021, and since 2023 we have presented Naatya Pushparpanam, an intimate evening offered in dedication to the art form. In 2026 we celebrated our first Arangetram.
Our Guru
Smt. Olympia Mannur
Smt. Olympia Mannur leads Naatya Pushp and guides its students from their first steps in Bharatanatyam through to their Arangetram.
In November 2025 she was honored with the AmPowering Women of Substance Award at the 13th AmPowering Global Women Festival in Renton, Washington, recognizing her work in promoting Bharatanatyam in the state.
